Comment Basics

Add comments for others to read, and vice versa!

Comments are a vital piece of Feedback and Additional Info

In Script 360, comments can be attached to any paragraph, by you or anyone with the proper privilege (Read & Comment, Edit or Co-Author). Of course, you can also invite outsiders to just read your script without the ability to leave comments (the 4th and most restrictive invitation type).

All Comments are Script wide

Scripts at Script 360 can contain multiple independent drafts, but we made the key decision to make all comments script-wide, which means that if someone leaves a comment on the First Draft and you happen to be editing the Third Draft, it will appear for you to see as long as the attached paragraph wasn't deleted from your draft.

Comments get saved Immediately

We will get to how you add a comment in the next chapter, but note for now that when you add a comment, it is saved to our servers immediately. You do not have to save the script in order for them to be there.

Only the Author (and invited co-authors) can view all comments for a script

It is key to remember that, as Editor and Read & Comment invitees will only be able to see comments posted by them or you, which will avoid those folks from seeing the comments from others.
