Element-Specific Styles
Use the built in Standard styling or Change as desired
Each Paragraph type has its own Universal styles
Most screenwriters know that in feature scripts, Industry-standards specify that Scene Headings are usually all upper case (i.e. INT. HOUSE – NIGHT) and often have a double space above, Transitions are also upper case and right justified, and character/parenthetical/dialogue element paragraphs each have their own margins.
In the same vein, the typical styles for other types of screenplays, half-hour multi-camera Sitcoms being one example, have different typical settings for each element.
When Importing from a Final Draft file
The Script360 editor will not only read the content of your script, but it will also read and honor the element styles from Final Draft. This, if you made your Scene Headings all bold in your previous script editing software (especially Final Draft!), The styles will be reflected right away in our editor.
Use the Built-In defaults or change them
Just because we built in typical Industry defaults, Script360 allows you to universally change many of the stylistic settings for all of your elements. Bold, Italic, Alignment, Spacing, Space Before, you can change them and have the entire script update immediately to reflect what you want.
To view and edit the element settings, choose the Elements… menu item at the top of the Document menu:

Then, view or make changes in the Popup Elements box:

Make some Changes and click Save to update the Script
Most of the settings should be self explanatory, be sure to click on the name of the element in the list on the left, then view or change the settings for that element using the check boxes and dropdown menus on the right side.
Our Universal Templates
We have built in a few templates for some of the typical screenplay types, you can update ALL the element settings by just selecting the desired item in the templates menu:

Don’t forget to click the Save button after choosing a template to update the entire script for those settings.
