Comment Icons

Little bubble icons let you add or read comments in your script

Comments are tied to small bubble icons at the left edge of the script

When editing (or even reading) a script, you will note the small bubble icons that appear at the left edge of the script:

In the above image, note the empty bubble icon to the left of the scene heading where the cursor sits. Then, notice the filled-in icons next to a few other paragraphs. As you probably guessed, those darker icons indicate the paragraph next to it contains comments, with the number in the bubble indicating how many comments that paragraph has.

Key to understand is that there will only be one empty bubble icon, which will be located next to whatever paragraph you are currently editing (unless that paragraph already has comments, which will only show the darker version). So, to add a comment to any given paragraph in the script, click your mouse anywhere inside that paragraph (which will move the empty icon right there).
