Comment Popup Box
A pop up, draggable popup box for adding and reading comments
To add a new comment (or to read existing comments on a paragraph)
Just click on the bubble icon to the left of the desired paragraph, which brings up the Comment popup:

Use the Enter Comment box to enter your comment (or read the ones already there). Once entered, to submit your comment either click on the right arrow icon or alternatively press Shift-Enter on your keyboard. We did this because comments can contain multiple paragraphs, so just depressing the Enter key would add a new line inside the comment.
Note: The Comment entry area will automatically grow as you add more text (or paragraphs) to your comment, so do not be worried that the initial size is merely a single short line. We don't recomment overly verbose, run-on comments (there is a limit just to retain sanity), but then again don't be shy in describing your thoughts on the paragraph in question.
Editing a Comment
To edit a comment after the fact (such as to fix typos), hover your mouse over a comment box and you will see a number of small action icons appear:
![]()
Click on the little pencil icon and the comment editor box will pop up. Make your changes and click the Save button to update the comment:

Deleting a comment
The author can delete any comment, otherwise anyone leaving a comment can delete their comments with the red Trash can icon shown in the image above. Once deleted, it is gone and nobody will be able to read it, even the author.
Colors and Labels show your comments from those of others
To be able to easily differentiate between your comments and those of others, there are two obvious differences. You comments have a light beige background, while any comments from other folks have a light blue background:

Note in the image above that for comments from others, the name of the person who left the comment is displayed in purple at the top of the comment.
Marking a Comment as Resolved
Often you might want to keep comments but note that you have dealt with whatever suggestion or thought they contained. This can be done (only by authors and co-authors) by clicking on the small lime-green checkmark icon at the left side of the action item list:
![]()
When clicked, the background color of that comment turns greenish, indicating that is a resolved comment:

Should you want to undo that and make the comment active again, just click the now-red checkbox icon.
